Hello, recently I got a Linux VPS to host a minecraft server. I now have to choose between what distro to use. The distros I am allowed to use are following: CentOS 5 with Parallels Plesk Panel 10 (64-bit) CentOS 5 with Parallels SB Panel 10 (64-bit) ubuntu 10.04 LTS minimal system (64-bit) Debian 5 (Lenny) minimal system (64-bit) openSUSE 11.3 minimal system (64-bit) openSUSE 11.3 with Parallels Plesk Panel 10 (64-bit) CentOS 5 minimal system (64-bit) All of these come with NO desktop/gui just command line, I am REALLY new to bash so if possible could please post on how to install GNOME and VNC because I have to control it from my computer. If not just the OS is fine. I have 16GB or ram available to me, I am not sure what the clock of my cpu is but I do know it 8 cores. I know minecraft can only use 1 core is it the same for the server?
